Percy was born in 1890 in Nottingham and was the son of Harry a solicitors clerk and Maria Elizabeth Forrest , they lived in East Bridgford. they had 6 children in total. In the 1911 census the family are living at East Bridgford , Percy is single 21 years of age and an insurance office clerk , he is at the address with his parents and 3 of his siblings , Richard Arthur , Charles Cecil and Dorothy May , the family are employing one servant Lily Gray 19 yrs .
